曾經在七零年代是全蘇格蘭最大威士忌蒸餾廠的湯瑪丁（Tomatin ），也撐不住八零年代蘇格蘭威士忌產業的大蕭條，在1986年就賣給了日本集團，嫁作他人婦也沒有阻止它命運的乖違，從原來23隻蒸餾器的規模，縮減至剩下12隻蒸餾器，最慘的時候，只有4隻蒸餾器勉強運作著。名聲黯淡下來的湯瑪丁一直在找適當的機會重振雄風，或許幸虧當時沒有讓產量無限生產，這幾年湯瑪丁酒廠才能有計劃的推出幾款非常精彩的單一麥芽威士忌，除了原有的高地區風格，還加入了泥煤風威士忌的製作，除了得到威士忌聖經作者吉姆、墨瑞高度的評價，同時在2016年拿到英國威士忌雜誌最佳年度酒廠的殊榮。
這隻大鼻子情聖（The Whisky Big Nose ）篆刻金石系列最後批次的選桶2008年湯瑪丁，放在很漂亮的美國白橡木波本桶中熟成，桶香很美，聞香有著隱約淡雅青草系的泥煤炭風味，豐厚圓潤的太妃糖，成熟的香蕉味，水蜜桃，白巧克力，杏仁、香草，年輕而活躍迷人的氣味，入口甜美異常，好似爆漿的百香果在口中炸開來，油而細滑的口感，蜂蜜的甜美，在口中讓人一再回味，美好的心情就像少女無憂的夏日風情。
